Mission
To accelerate digital equality and data justice in Africa. Research ICT Africa conducts public-interest research on the digital economy and society to inform evidence-based policy and effective regulation, building an African knowledge base on internet, data, and AI governance at national, continental, and international levels.
Milestones
2025: Served as the only African knowledge partner across G20 priority areas during South Africa's G20 Presidency, advising on AI and data governance
2003: Established in Cape Town to build Africa’s ICT policy and regulatory research capacity
