As the applied-research pillar of Abu Dhabi's Advanced Technology Research Council, TII conducts research across AI, quantum, cryptography, robotics, and more, with a focus on safe, transparent, and sovereign AI, and develops the open-source Falcon family of models.
Milestones
2023: Launched Falcon LLM, an open-source foundation model, and later the open-source Falcon Foundation
2020: Established in Abu Dhabi as the applied-research pillar of the Advanced Technology Research Council
